Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro”, staged by Marcelo Lombardero, premieres at the Latvian National Opera on the 28th of February. The director has placed the emphasis on the comical aspect of the opera, which this time is set in South America of the 1980s.

 

Performing in the opera are Jānis Apeinis, Evija Martinsone, Sonora Vaice, Rihards Mačanovskis, Inga Šļubovska, Krišjānis Norvelis, Rihards Millers, Kalvis Kalniņš, Yulianna Bawarska, Elīna Šimkus, Julija Vasiljeva and others, as well as guest performers Anna Konovalova and Alexander Miminoshvili.
