Composer Arturs Maskats’ opera “Valentīna” will have its premiere at the Latvian National Opera on Friday, the 5th of December. The opera is loosely based on the Latvian culture personality, noted film critic Valentīna Freimane’s biography “Farewell, Atlantis!” (“Ardievu, Atlantīda!”). The opera stars the acclaimed Latvian soprano Inga Kalna, as well as LNO soloists Jānis Apeinis, Ieva Parša, Armands Siliņš and others. The libretto was written by Liāna Langa and Arturs Maskats. Conductor – Modestas Pitrėnas.
