Day Three of "Positivus Festival" turned out to be a real challenge for most festival-goers. Therefore, 21 July joined turned out to be history of Latvian festivals.
Still, there were less people, but the gigs were fantastic! Latvian punk rockers "Inokentijs Mārpls" did their low start with a gig at the "Nordea" stage at noon creating a serious energy wave for the whole day.
Also a rock music band playing a la 1970ies music called "Laime pilnīga" threw energy into the crowd, but "Team Ghost" (France) and "Suuns" (Canada), in their turn, offered some electro/rock psychedelia. For those who arrived on the evening of Sunday freak rockers "Darwin Deez" (USA) played on the "Nordea" stage fulfilling all open-air seats. In the evening, "Two Door Cinema Club" (Great Britain) played splendid poprock on the big stage.
Latvian shoegaze/noise rock band "Tribes of the City" did the most emotional show on a last "Positivus" day after a three-year break. Besides, the lead singer Ksenija and her colleagues offered some new musical stuff that might result in a new record some day. Also more powerful gigs were played by Latvian bands including a rock band "Indygo" on the small "Dabas skatuve" (Nature Stage).
The grand finale on the "Tele2" stage was allocated to an English band "The XX" which surprised with several breathtaking visualizations such as digital clouds above people's heads. The conclusion: "Positivus" has achieved the atmosphere of a decent European festival. It seems that more and more foreign visitors will attend "Positivus". The same with music bands whose colleagues stayed fond of Salacgriva.
