An exhibition of Gvido Kajons' black and white photographies called „Tēma 011” (The Theme nr. 011„) is open at The Latvian Museum of Photography until 3 November. Exhibited works were shot during Soviet times, therefore, ”Tēma 011„ itself reflects on Soviet- ish habit to use various numbers in titles. Kajons tells he has divided his works in a ”human„ and ”non-human„ period. So, ”Tēma 011„ was produced during the ”non-human" time that shows satiric characteristics of socialistic environment. Those are documentary pictures where a human is a part of urban environment. The symbols, ideological inscriptions, rituals, marches and daily life of socialism- all this might seem as a spontaneous photo shoot, but, in fact, it's the result of photographer's patience in order to wait for the right moment.
