In Frankfurt, 16 November, the annual Cultural Days of ECB dedicated to Latvia were opened with the performances of Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, State Choir „Latvija” (led by Ainārs Rubiķis) and the solo performers.

The concert at ECB Cultural Days in Frankfurt was opened with „Melancholy waltz” (composer Emīls Dārziņš), also musical works by Pēteris Barisons, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns, Jāzeps Vītols, Ēriks Ešenvalds and Rihards Dubra were perfomed.

German audience was particularly excited about the overture from „Rienzi” opera composed by Richard Wagner. This musical piece turned out to be the highest point at the opening concert.
