Apply for „Rīga 2014” media accreditation!
If media professionals wish to cover the opening events of The European Capital of Culture that will be held in Riga and its partner city Sigulda on 15 to 19 January, 2014, they have to apply for the accreditation until 19 December, 2013.
To apply for media accreditation, fill in the online form on The European Capital of Culture webpage.
So far, Latvian and international mass media professionals have shown great interest in covering "Rīga 2014“ events. Among them are such companies as: „Lonely Planet”, „GEO”, „Die Tageszeitung”, „China Today”, Swedish Radio, Taiwan Television, „Il Messaggero”, „L Όsservatore Romano”- a newspaper from the Vatican, bloggers from Egypt and China, etc.
"Every media representative is kindly invited to apply for the accreditation to cover the events of "Rīga 2014" programme. The year of The European Capital of Culture will be one of the most ambitious occasions since the restoration of independance of Latvia. Those will be the events where all of us are gonna be the leading actors, the event curators, the spectators. So, this is why every media professional will take a significant part in The European Capital of Culture coverage in order to make it the brightest time for every visitor," tells Mārtiņš Drēģeris, PR Programme Director at "Rīga 2014" Foundation.
Accredited media representatives (both Latvian and international) will have full access to all "Rīga 2014" cultural events including concerts, exhibitions, theatre shows, lectures, etc.
Also the press room will be available for media representatives at the office of "Rīga 2014", Riga Congress Centre, through all 2014.
Media accreditation application for the upcoming 8th World Choir Games (9 - 19 July, 2014) and European Film Awards ceremony (13 December, 2014) will be announced separately.
