Our portal will broadcast festival “Dominant” concerts live on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of August.

More information about the festival is available on the website of St. Peter’s Church.
The festival was first organised in 2013. Last year, “Hope” was represented by Ottorino Respighi’s “Maria egiziaca”, staged by Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music opera studio “Figaro”, with Jolanta Strikaite in the title role. “Hope” was a concert programme created by three young and very talented musicians’ association “Art-i-Shock”, featuring several new compositions, whereas “Love” offered the public a recital of pianist Reinis Zariņš performing music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Olivier Messiaen. Reinis Zariņš’ solo concert and the “Maria egiziaca” performance were later nominated for the Latvian Grand Music Awards 2013 in the categories “For Outstanding Achievement in Music” and “Production of the Year”.
In 2014, the festival “Dominant” will be aired live from St. Peter’s Church on the culture portal “Riga 2014”.
