The festival “Survival Kit” programme “What to Do with a Fantasy?” in Kalnciema Quarter will continue from the 12th to 23rd of September. The programme explores the ideals of society via self-discovery of the individual. Visitors are prompted to contemplate, fantasise, feel, participate, and dream of every individual’s personal utopian place.
Jēkabs Nīmanis’ creative workshop “Observe. Listen. Collaborate” will be on the 12th of September at 7 p.m. The workshop focuses on the creative boundaries of music and sound art, music genres, and self-expression.
Children’s discussion “What’s Not to Like about Adult Life?” on the 13th of September at 1 p.m. is an experimental adventure to analyse the most important existentialist problems as seen by children. Moderator – Krista Burāne.
Varis Piņķis’ open theatre class will be on the 16th of September at 7 p.m. A practical class and an attempt to find out if it is worth to try to become an actor, and whether theatre is, or is not, a utopia.
Artūrs Punte’s textual workshop will be held on the 23rd of September at 7 p.m.
