In Search of Future Art: Non-European Rhythms

Description:

Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to learn about exotic and untamed music and rhythms during a two-part performance. Artists Maksims Šenteļevs, Jēkabs Nīmanis and Ivars Šmits from the sound art ensemble “Bērnu rīts” will present a sound and animation performance dedicated to the exhibition, followed by a discussion about the search for innovative forms in the context of contemporary and ethnic art.
The second part of the performance will bring new experience to members of the audience as they, guided by the artists, will be offered to perform various sound exercises.
